Extended Coverage Specialist - Auburn, ME

Bison Transport USA is currently looking for an Extended Coverage Specialist for its Auburn, ME terminal.

The schedule for this position is Thursday, Friday & Saturday 0800 - 2000.

The Extended Coverage Specialist will work within all areas of our Operations Department, which includes Customer Service, Dispatch, and Planning in a particular US geographical region.

This person will be a key player in building and maintaining relationships between drivers, customers, and other departments within the organization.

• As single point of contact between customer(s) and Bison USA, ensuring customer needs are understood and served.
• Ensure quality of order entry and appointment making, relationship establishment and development, issue resolution and business level monitoring.
• Accurate order entry/acceptance, tracing and appointment booking; secure shipments and update system within lead time.
• Execute day‑to‑day activity of assigned driver fleet: read/manage messages, track/plan/manage home time events, record accurate ETA/PTA, confirm day‑to‑day fleet activity.
• Provide driver routing as required.
• Book freight, communicate with customers, evaluate trucks and loads to balance drivers’ availability with customer commitments.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Superior data entry skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow in the logistics industry.
• Well‑organized, excellent communicator, keen sense of timeliness.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrated customer service experience.
• Experience in transportation is preferred.
