The Role

We are seeking a technically capable Service Coordinator to support NECI’s valve and asset repair business. This role serves as a critical technical and operational liaison between customers, sales, service providers, manufacturers, and subcontractors. The Service Coordinator ensures service engagements are accurately scoped, efficiently executed, and delivered to customer expectations through strong mechanical understanding, systems expertise, and proactive coordination.

How You’ll Be Successful
  • Respond quickly and confidently to customer inquiries, including technical questions related to valves, instrumentation, rotating equipment, and asset repair strategies.
  • Manage multiple concurrent service activities, balancing changing priorities in a fast-paced technical environment.
  • Demonstrate strong ownership, organization, and accountability across complex service workflows.
  • Apply technical judgment, attention to detail, and structured problem-solving to resolve service and execution challenges.
What You’ll Do
  • Collaborate with sales, customers, and service providers to technically scope, plan, quote, and execute shop and field service work.
  • Create, manage, and maintain work orders for valve and asset repair operations, ensuring accuracy, prioritization, and timely execution.
  • Coordinate with outage management, shop personnel, and field service teams throughout the full service lifecycle—from initial scope and quoting through execution and closeout.
  • Proactively manage changes to service scope, schedule, or priorities, clearly communicating impacts to all stakeholders.
  • Leverage the IFS Business System to generate proposals, work orders, customer orders, and purchase orders.
  • Perform post-outage cost reconciliation and deliver detailed repair and service reports.
  • Develop and maintain shop repair orders, field service orders, and subcontractor scopes of work with technical clarity.
  • Maintain complete and accurate customer and internal service documentation.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Technical, or Business discipline preferred) or equivalent hands‑on experience in a mechanical or industrial services environment.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and discuss valves, instruments, rotating equipment, and repair processes.
  • Strong proficiency with enterprise systems and applications (IFS experience a plus) and Microsoft 365.
  • Solid project coordination skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, influencing outcomes through professionalism and technical credibility.
  • Strong desire and ability to deepen technical knowledge within industrial service and repair operations.

The starting pay range for this position is $27-$32/hour depending on experience.

Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
