Job Summary
Proofs and bakes all unfinished bakery goods by following each item’s product handling information using ovens and/or other equipment. Unpacks bakery goods from the freezer and displays proper amounts based on bakery production chart recommendations, including safe handling and storage instructions. Maintains all cleaning and safety standards within the bakery department.

- Ensure all items are stocked, promotional plans executed, with visible accurate signage and a clean, organized store.
- Understand how to read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department.
- Use answers to recommend bakery items and respond to member calls and special orders.
- Use bakery production charts to guide production, display, and storage.
- Gather products for the next business day and package baked goods—including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, and others.
- Decorate special order or case products.
- Rotate and store bakery products following food safety and freshness policy.
- Inspect, receive, and store bakery shipments.
- Check for out‑of‑date products and follow salvage and stale policies.
- Generate labels and price tickets and perform price checks.
- Clean and sanitize equipment, fixtures, and surfaces, including ovens, utensils, refrigerated cases, display racks, and tables.
- Operate and handle bakery equipment following safety policies.
- Maintain club policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments.
- Ensure regular, predictable, full attendance is maintained.
- Experience working in a bakery or customer‑service‑oriented environment preferred.
- Knowledge of bakery products preferred.
- At least 18 years of age.
Most of the time is spent moving about non‑hard surfaces. May occasionally need to bend, stoop, reach, push, or lift objects up to 30lb, and sometimes heavier with assistance. Work is in a comfortable indoor environment with exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and coolers, as well as frequent exposure to cleaning agents.
PayThe estimated weekly salary range for this position is $16.75–$20.10 per hour.
