Inside Sales Rep

Description

Sell products to business and industrial establishments, individuals at branch location or over the phone by performing the following duties.

• Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from ad inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, suppliers, business directories, internet web sites, and other sources.
• Makes outbound lead follow‑up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and email to sell products and services.
• Handles inbound sales calls to convert calls into sales. Handles calls concerning status of customers' tires for recap or repair. Handles walk‑in sales.
• Overcomes technical and price objections of prospective customers.
• Provides product demos to customers on request.
• Writes up national account delivery receipts for road calls and takes orders from national account customers. Assists billing clerk as needed. Starts billing for next day's deliveries.
• Works with route drivers and salesman every morning to expedite tags, work orders and national account billing. Pre‑delivery work should be started the day before, with a phone call to the account for any needs.
• Emphasizes product features, quotes prices, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.
• Tracks inventory levels.
• Orders inventory as needed to fulfill sales orders.
• Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of STTCs production and delivery schedules.
• Builds and maintains customer relationships.
• Investigates and resolves customer problems.
• Works on scheduled weekends.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Ability to use computers; training will be provided as needed.
• While performing the job duties, the employee may be required to talk and hear for lengths of time.
• The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit.
