- Perform service and installation according to manufacturers’ recommended procedures and specifications
- Document time spent and complete documentation detailing job-site problems, shortages, and inefficiencies
- Perform work safely to prevent accidents involving themselves, co-workers, contractors, the public, and property
- Wear and maintain required personal protection equipment
- Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electro‑mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic
- Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low‑voltage wiring
- Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors
- Participate in training programs
- Participate in on‑call rotations after certification and training
- 3-5 years’ experience of direct industry, storefront door installation, or relevant industry experience
- Minimum age requirement of 21 due to job‑related responsibilities
- Must be able to successfully obtain AAADM certification within six months of employment and maintain certification as required
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro‑mechanical devices
- Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low‑voltage (120v) wiring
- Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware preferred
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork
- Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, positioning, and installing door components weighing up to 110 pounds with lifting aids
- Ability to climb ladders, kneel, drive, and work in various positions as required
Demonstrates expertise in the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated pedestrian doors, with a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction. Proficient in diagnosing electro‑mechanical devices and working with various materials and tools in a physically demanding environment.
