Installation Technician

• Perform service and installation according to manufacturers’ recommended procedures and specifications
• Document time spent and complete documentation detailing job-site problems, shortages, and inefficiencies
• Perform work safely to prevent accidents involving themselves, co-workers, contractors, the public, and property
• Wear and maintain required personal protection equipment
• Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electro‑mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic
• Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low‑voltage wiring
• Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors
• Participate in training programs
• Participate in on‑call rotations after certification and training

• 3-5 years’ experience of direct industry, storefront door installation, or relevant industry experience
• Minimum age requirement of 21 due to job‑related responsibilities
• Must be able to successfully obtain AAADM certification within six months of employment and maintain certification as required
• Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro‑mechanical devices
• Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low‑voltage (120v) wiring
• Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware preferred
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
• High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork
• Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, positioning, and installing door components weighing up to 110 pounds with lifting aids
• Ability to climb ladders, kneel, drive, and work in various positions as required

Demonstrates expertise in the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated pedestrian doors, with a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction. Proficient in diagnosing electro‑mechanical devices and working with various materials and tools in a physically demanding environment.
