- Recent experience required within the last year
- Required skills include interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, and care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- Proficiency in arterial line management, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Experience with BiPAP and CPAP management
- Care of ventilated patients
- Ability to interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- Suctioning skills for endotracheal tubes and nasal tubes
Description:
We are seeking a registered nurse specializing in critical care for a 13-week contract.
This position requires working night shifts of 12 hours.
The nurse will float as needed.
The nurse will be responsible for interpreting dysrhythmias and managing related complications.
They will care for patients experiencing multisystem organ dysfunction or failure.
Skills in arterial line and central line management are essential.
The role includes continuous IV sedation and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips.
The nurse will assist with BiPAP and CPAP management.
Candidates must be able to care for ventilated patients and interpret ABGs.
Suctioning skills for both endotracheal and nasal tubes are required.
All required certifications must be held at the time of application.
This role involves working every other weekend and every other holiday.
Travelers are expected to coordinate any needed time off with their peers.
Successful candidates must demonstrate proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation.
This will be assessed through a telemetry evaluation on the first day.
Nurses will independently monitor telemetry strips and interpret cardiac rhythms for their assigned patients.
