CNC Machinist
Join our dynamic team as a CNC Machinist, where you will serve as a setup technician and run jobs on CNC machines, specifically Thermowood brand routers. You will be responsible for reading blueprints, modifying G-code for specifications and measurements, and making necessary adjustments. Your role includes loading machining components into machine beds and drilling mounting holes as needed. Our machines form 3D plastic material by cutting and bending steel.
Responsibilities- Serve as a setup technician for CNC machines, particularly Thermowood routers.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Modify G-code to align with specifications and measurements.
- Load machining components into machine beds and drill mounting holes as required.
- Operate machines to form 3D plastic materials by cutting and bending steel.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with CNC Mills and routers.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience in modifying G-code and aligning specifications and measurements.
- Knowledge in injection mold, machine operation, and plastic machining.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience setting up machines, automation, and injection molding is a bonus.
- CAD/CAM experience is highly desirable.
- Candidates with experience on lathes can be trained.

Work EnvironmentWork on the first shift, Monday to Friday from 7am to 3:30pm with a half-hour lunch break. Optional additional hours available on Saturdays. The warehouse is non-climate controlled but remains comfortable.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
