CNC Setup Machinist
We're seeking an experienced CNC Setup Machinist to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you'll set up and operate CNC routers and mills, primarily working with Thermowood machines to produce high-quality 3D plastic components.

What You'll DoSet up and operate CNC mills and routers
Prepare machines with proper tooling, fixtures, and programs
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Modify G-code programs to meet specifications
Load and secure work pieces for machining
Perform drilling and fixture modifications as needed
Monitor machine performance and make adjustments
Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met
Troubleshoot machining and setup issues
Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures
Required Qualifications2+ years of CNC machining experience
Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or routers
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Experience modifying G-code programs
Strong understanding of machining processes and measurements
Ability to troubleshoot setups and production issues
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
Preferred QualificationsExperience with Thermowood CNC machines
CAD/CAM experience
CNC programming experience beyond basic G-code edits
Experience with automation and machine setup
Injection molding or plastics manufacturing experience
Experience in plastic machining
CNC lathe experience (training available for the right candidate)
Schedule1st Shift
Monday – Friday
7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
30-minute lunch break
Voluntary Saturday overtime available
Work EnvironmentManufacturing warehouse setting
Non-climate-controlled facility
Hands-on production environment
Work with CNC mills, routers, and Thermowood equipment
Standard industrial PPE and work attire required

This is a Permanent position based out of Auburn, NY.
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
