Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule:
Day shift - 3x12 Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
Job Description:
The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing comprehensive and compassionate care to mothers and newborns during the labor and delivery process. The RN will facilitate high-risk antepartum and intrapartum care, assist in C-sections, and provide postpartum education and support.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor labor and delivery processes
- Provide care for high-risk obstetrical patients
- Perform sterile vaginal exams and assist with deliveries
- Ensure effective communication with the healthcare team
- Conduct discharge planning and education for new parents
- Utilize telemetry for cardiac monitoring and interpretation
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
- Current NY RN License in hand
- Certifications:
ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate - Experience with Allscripts charting system preferred
