Ratios: 1:4–5 (based on unit census and acuity)
Years of Experience REQ: 1-2 years of recent Critical Care Step Down/PCU experience required. First-timers Accepted:
Yes - if 3+ years of experience
Weekend REQ:
Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday.
Certs REQ: BLS (AHA), Active LPN License
Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes – Travelers are expected to float to similar acuity units within the LPN/LVN scope of practice.
Open to Accommodating Block Schedule? No but will try to accommodate as much as possible
Locals Accepted:
Yes – Local candidates are those residing within 50 miles of the facility. Local travelers are subject to local rate adjustment.
Pending License Accepted:
No – Active LPN license required at time of submission.
RTO Restrictions:
Maximum of 7 days requested. RTO during weekends, holidays, or the first week of the assignment is generally not approved. All RTO must be disclosed at submission.
Guaranteed
Hours:
36 hours per week (3x12s). Facility may cancel up to one shift per two-week pay period per facility policy.
Special Requirements:
Recent experience caring for progressive care/step-down patients required. Experience with cardiac telemetry and continuous monitoring preferred. Must be comfortable caring for patients requiring high-flow oxygen, BiPAP/CPAP, post-procedural cardiac and vascular monitoring, and frequent assessments. Strong communication and teamwork skills required. Traveler must be willing to float based on census and staffing needs.
