LPN/LVN - Acute Care Position
This is a 13-week contract position.
Shift: 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30)
Weekend Requirement:
Every other weekend;
Every other holiday
We are seeking an experienced LPN/LVN for acute care settings. The successful candidate will work closely with a healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care. This position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to manage various patient needs effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Medication Administration
- Monitoring and managing patients with telemetry
- Interpreting dysrhythmias
- Utilizing rapid response/code teams as required
- Performing peripheral line care and management
- Administering oxygen, including nasal cannula and oxygen tanks
- Utilizing isolation precautions as necessary
- Communicating patient status changes to RN/MD
- Maintaining vital sign monitoring and documentation
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience required
- Current NY State LPN/LVN License
- BLS Certification
- 8 hours of stroke education completed
