As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rover Rounds in Auburn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support store teams with clear communication.

You will assist guests with directions and service needs while using a computer and/or tablet to document activity and report concerns. At Allied Universal, you will bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests at a retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting site leadership and/or public services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and building perimeters to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and operational concerns.
• Monitor CCTV and other security-related systems when assigned, documenting observations and reporting suspicious activity according to site policy.
• Complete detailed written reports and activity logs, and communicate clearly with store associates, management, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, assistance requests, and policy concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
