Sum Bridge is partnering with a reputable public accounting firm in Auburn, WA to hire an experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper
. This is a hybrid opportunity ideal for a senior-level accounting professional with strong general ledger (GL) expertise
, Quick Books experience
, and knowledge of Washington State tax compliance
.

Key Responsibilities- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients across various industries
- Identify, reconcile, and resolve general ledger discrepancies
- Prepare and file Washington State taxes
, including:- Payroll tax
- Excise tax
- B&O tax
- Personal property tax
- Ensure financial records are accurate and tax-ready
- Communicate with clients regarding accounting questions and documentation
- Train and support client bookkeepers on best practices
- Mentor junior accounting and bookkeeping staff
- 8+ years of experience as a Full-Charge Bookkeeper or in accounting
- Experience working with multiple clients (public accounting or client-facing environment preferred)
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting
, reconciliations, and retained earnings - Experience with Washington State Department of Revenue and payroll compliance
- Proficiency with:
- Quick Books Desktop & Quick Books Online
- Xero accounting software
- Microsoft Excel (advanced) and Word
- Payroll platforms (
ADP, Paychex, Gusto
) - Sales platforms (
Shopify, Square, Amazon, Tik Tok
)
- Detail-oriented and highly accurate in financial reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
