Customer Experience Specialist

Children’s Dance Theater is a very busy studio with programs for dance, art, preschool and theater, at three locations. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Customer Experience Specialist to join our team, part time. This position will require you to alternate between our Auburn, Federal Way and Maple Valley locations, typically 5 hours per evening and Saturday mornings. Expected hours would be 20
-25 per week, through the school year.

To ensure success as a Customer Experience Specialist, you should exhibit in-depth knowledge of customer engagement channels, great salesmanship, outgoing, and experience in dance, art and/or theater, but it is not required. A top-notch Customer Experience Specialist will be someone whose expertise results in excellent customer relationship management and a positive brand image.

Customer Experience Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Be knowledgeable of our programs, schedules, events and processes.
  • Positively promoting all programs for optimal enrollment.
  • Greeting and assisting customers with shoe fittings, borrowing shoes, checking in for trials, finding classrooms and meeting teachers.
  • Monitoring visitors and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for dancers.
  • Tracking customer experiences across online and offline channels, devices, and touchpoints.
  • Collaborating with directors and teachers to enhance the customer service experience.
  • Identifying customer needs and taking proactive steps to maintain positive experiences.
  • Responding to customer queries in a timely and effective manner, via phone, email, text, or chat applications and in-person.
  • Using tracking tools to monitor and follow-up with each customer’s journey.
  • Documenting processes and logging technical issues, as well as customer compliments and complaints.
  • Ensuring that customer issues are handled in a timely manner, and following up with customers to make sure that their issues have been resolved.
  • CES have an area of focus of community involvement
  • Community involvement (Vendor at Kid’s day or other community events, trunk or treats, organizing community appearances at jingle bell brunch/ parade involvement)
  • Organizing donations to other community partners events (auctions, chamber, festival of trees)
  • Working with our Program Directors for speciality event like Art Exhibits, and creating others in partnership with the needs of the studio.

Customer Experience Specialist Requirements:

  • 2 years' experience as a customer experience specialist, or a similar customer support role, or equivalent training.
  • Experience in gathering and interpreting customer experience information.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook and Google.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a client-centered approach.
  • Great organizational and time management abilities.
  • Superb communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a high traffic environment and also work well independently.
  • Access to a reliable source of transportation .
  • Ability to stand/sit for long periods of time.
  • Work well with children ages 3 to 18.
  • Maintain professional appearance and personal hygiene.
  • Patience in stressful, bustling situations.
