Position: Senior Architect - Washington, USA

The Senior Architect will lead and oversee the design and construction of large-scale projects in the Washington area They will be responsible for developing plans creating detailed drawings and coordinating with contractors engineers and other team members to bring projects to completion The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecture with previous experience managing complex projects and leading a team They should possess excellent communication and leadership skills as well as a keen eye for detail and design

This is an urgent contract position with a competitive salary of 1700$ per month

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design process for projects from conception to completion
  • Create detailed drawings and models using computer software
  • Collaborate with contractors engineers and other team members to ensure project success
  • Manage project budget and timelines
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise
  • Communicate regularly with clients to keep them updated on project status
  • Mentor and train junior architects on best practices and techniques
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in architecture
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Architecture or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in architectural design preferably with experience managing large-scale projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Architecture or related field
  • Experience working on government or public sector projects
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
  • LEED certification
