ABOUT THE COLLEGE:
Green River College's student body is made up of approximately 41% Academic Transfer students, 34% Professional-Technical students, 15% Adult Basic Education student, and 3% Applied Bachelor degrees. Green River College has four campuses, including the main campus in Auburn, Washington, with satellite campuses in Kent, downtown Auburn, and Enumclaw. Green River programs serve high school graduates, Running Start students (dual enrollment in local high schools and the college), those seeking retraining for the workforce, international students, students learning English, and Continuing Education students.

Teach any or all of the following:
* Transitional Studies (pre-college level) math.
* Transitional Studies (pre-college level) contextualized reading/writing classes in literature, social studies, and/or science
Additionally:
* Maintain communication with the Transitional Studies Department on a regular basis, maintain student attendance and academic records, and complete all needed paperwork for a program funded by SBCTC.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree and experience working with adult students in a community college setting or an equivalent mix of education and experience that demonstrates the candidate meets the competency requirements for this position
* Experience fostering a climate of multicultural understanding and appreciation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master's degree in adult education or other related area.
* Experience teaching Adult Basic Education and High School Equivalency Preparation classes including High School, Open Doors and GED preparation in a community college or community-based setting.
* Experience in working collaboratively with and reporting to private, state, and federal agencies.
* Experience working with people of diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as those with disabilities.
