JOB SUMMARY

Plans, coordinates, and implements assigned Career and Technical Education (CTE)/Native American Career and Technical Education Program (NACTEP), workforce/career pathway, and Adult & Higher Education programs. The position emphasizes CTE program coordination, community engagement, student intake, transition, retention, completion, academic and career advising, records and data management, partnership coordinator, culturally grounded instruction and program materials.

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs outreach to the Muckleshoot community via phone calls, email, social media, electronic, and in-person communication; recruits Tribal and community members for assigned CTE/NACTEP courses, workshops, information sessions, and educational pathways offered through MTC.
  • Works as a team player with all Muckleshoot Tribal College and Muckleshoot Scholarship staff employees, CTE staff, partner institutions, community leaders, students, parents, teachers, administrators, colleges, universities, and business leaders.
  • Provides customer service to students, staff, and community members by answering telephones, responding to inquiries, emailing, and actively providing information regarding CTE/NACTEP, workforce/career pathways, and other MTC educational programs.
  • Ability to work late nights and a flexible schedule with staggered lunches.
  • Answers telephones, actively work to get information to Muckleshoot Tribal members, respond to inquiries regarding MTC Trades and other educational programs.
  • Coordinates planning meetings with stakeholders:
    Muckleshoot Tribal College staff, and local partner institutions, employers, instructors, and other CTE/NACTEP partners; c in-person and electronic meetings, creates agendas and flyers for programming along with other program materials.
  • Leads and participates in assigned CTE coordination meetings, CTE Advisory Board meetings, NACTEP/CTE-related meetings, student success meetings, and other meetings needed to strengthen CTE programs and student services.
  • Plan and lead Information Sessions for students, orientations, college site visits, field experiences, and student or community learning activities that support program entry, transition, retention, and completion.
  • Develops, coordinates, facilities, and/or presents instructional workshops, certificate programs, College Success workshops, academic planning modules, career development activities, resume support, internships preparation, and related student success services.
  • Advises students regarding curriculum decisions, course scheduling, program selection or changes, transfer pathways, academic progress, career planning, college resources, and referrals to departments, schools, colleges, universities, or other organizations as appropriate.
  • Reviews and maintains student and program records, including enrollment records, recruitment efforts, registrar-related duties, quarterly enrollment, student grades or progress information where appropriate, progress reports, inventory, logs, and/or accounting files.
  • Supports assigned CTE program development by promoting and evaluating educational and career planning resources and by helping to incorporate American Indian/Indigenous Studies curriculum, Tribal history, cultural knowledge, and overall Indigenized CTE materials into classes, workshops, printed documents, social media, and related program activities.
  • Collaborates with partner institutions to provide services and instruction to students, ensure alignment between institutions and educational offerings, attend in-person meetings, and represent Muckleshoot Tribal College.
  • Inventories, orders, collects, and distributes supplies and/or equipment for assigned CTE programming and student support activities
  • Keyboards and/or word process all documents, create excel spreadsheets.
  • Schedules meetings and reserves conference rooms, schedules appointments and maintains calendars for supervisor and/or clients.
  • Attends in-person meetings at local partner institutions, represents the Muckleshoot Tribal College.
