Teaching Responsibilities- Teach Transitional Studies (pre‑college level) math.
- Teach Transitional Studies (pre‑college level) contextualized reading/writing classes in literature, social studies, and/or science.
- Maintain communication with the Transitional Studies Department on a regular basis, keep student attendance and academic records, and complete all required paperwork for the program funded by SBCTC.
- Bachelor's degree and experience working with adult students in a community college setting or an equivalent mix of education and experience that demonstrates competency requirements for the position.
- Experience fostering a climate of multicultural understanding and appreciation.
- Master’s degree in adult education or another related area.
- Experience teaching Adult Basic Education and High School Equivalency Preparation classes, including open doors and GED preparation, in a community college or community‑based setting.
- Experience working collaboratively with and reporting to private, state, and federal agencies.
- Experience working with people of diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as those with disabilities.
