JOB SUMMARY
As part of our recent growth, we are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will review aerospace and commercial documents/parts that are fabricated and processed by Skills Inc. for compliance with engineering specifications, AS9100, NADCAP, and the company's quality system requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Validate and correct performance monitoring data.
* Interpret data, analyze results, and provide detailed reports for reporting and communications needs.
* Create First Article Inspection Reports for entry into Net-Inspect
* Identify opportunities through data analysis for process improvement and increased efficiency.
* Use methodical and systemic analytical approaches to perform effective Root Cause Corrective Analysis (RCCA).
* Develop, document, and deliver end-user training on changes and enhancements to process improvements.
* Track and report the status of Corrective Actions and quality performance data.
* Assess quality performance trends and lead corrective action efforts.
* Participate in and contribute towards process improvement initiatives and goals.
* Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
* Comply with all federal, state, company, and customer requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with concrete and abstract variables.
* Experience with the manufacture, fabrication, assembly, application of protective finishes, and inspection of structural aerospace products.
* Advanced knowledge of quality engineering theories, principles, inspection techniques, tools, and equipment.
* Advanced knowledge of aerospace and commercial drawings, blueprints, parts lists, and associated documents.
* Advanced computer literacy in a Windows environment, including proficiency with MS Office.
* Excellent at technical writing.
* Ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues to others and to work cooperatively with both internal and external customers.
* Ability to effectively assess and implement continuous improvement techniques to quality and operational functions.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to establish goals and objectives to complete projects in a timely manner.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
* Ability to read, write, and communicate in English through verbal communication, American Sign Language, or adaptive technology

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
* Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through a minimum of five (5) years of direct experience or three (3) years of related experience and a 2-year technical degree.
