Position SummaryWe are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. With minimal supervision, the Manufacturing Engineer will work with engineering, operations, quality, and project management to develop technical manufacturing solutions for new and existing programs.
EssentialJob Responsibilities
- Develop technical manufacturing options.
- Development of technical instructions.
- Revise Technical Specifications.
- Perform research, design, and development of manufacturing processes.
- Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow and layout.
- Provide input to estimating.
- Work with engineering, operations and project management concerning product design.
- Consult with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of product.
- Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
- Work with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations regarding production processes.
- Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential requirements.
- Coordinate and direct process improvement teams.
- Assist with resolution of customer, technical and quality issues.
- Ability to coordinate teams to complete tasks.
- Ability to collect, analyze, interpret and present technical and business information.
- Ability to successfully work in a team-based environment.
- Willingness to work in a high stress and constantly changing environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Salary Range: $85,000-$95,000
Education and Experience s- Requires degree in Engineering (Mechanic, Industrial, Aerospace).
- Aerospace industry knowledge desired.
- Working knowledge of 3D CAD systems required. CATIA v4, v5 is preferred.
- Assembly engineering experience is required.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection
- May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
