Position: Auburn Regal Cinemas Cast Member $21.00/Hour

The team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability as either variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular or full-time hourly employees. Their primary responsibility is to ensure guests receive exceptional service as well as act as a representative of Regal in a way that is consistent with the company's mission and policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Box Office
  • Operate POS system, handling cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, redeemed discount tickets, passes and coupons with responsibility for accuracy.
  • Upsell/suggestive selling of Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX).
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
  • Ensure tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy.
  • Respond to phone calls and questions from guests in a manner consistent with the guest service philosophy.
Concession
  • Operate POS system, handling cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, redeemed coupons, and maintain concession stock inventory.
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
  • Operate, prepare and clean all concession equipment.
  • Upsell/suggestive selling.
  • Comply with all local, state and federal food safety laws.
  • Abide by all federal and state laws regarding breaks and meal periods.
  • Ensure required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable.
  • When alcohol is sold, the employee must be of legal age to sell or serve alcohol according to law.
  • Read and understand training materials covering sexual harassment and discrimination.
Usher
  • Tear tickets, collect and deposit appropriate stubs, and direct patrons to their auditoriums.
  • Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable.
  • Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats when necessary.
  • Enforce MPAA rating system.
  • Conduct in‑theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, watch for film and content theft, and help maintain a safe environment.
  • Report to management any problems, discrepancies or unusual situations.
  • Perform in‑auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed.
  • Clean auditoriums after scheduled shows and maintain clean restrooms, lobby area, hallways and other areas outside the auditorium.
  • Monitor cleanliness and operation of vending equipment.
  • Assist with all opening and closing duties as assigned.

Pay Scale Information: $21.00/hour

Benefits: Team members receive free movie passes and discounted concessions at any Regal location. All team members are eligible to participate in the 401(k) retirement plan with a company match upon reaching age 21 and completing six months of service.

Education / Experience

Completion of the cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier or progress towards completion required. If alcohol is sold, the employee must complete legally required state or local training and obtain the required certificate, and complete the Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University.

Language Ability

Possess good public speaking, listen effectively, and respond clearly and directly.

Math Ability

Perform calculations with speed and accuracy and identify and correct errors.

Reasoning Ability

Identify problems, gather relevant data, note possible causes, evaluate information, recognize alternatives, reach conclusions based on evidence, and take action beyond what is necessary. Perform under pressure and/or opposition.

Personal Skills

Possess excellent communication skills with customers, co‑workers, and management. Establish goals, budget time, and set priorities to achieve desired objectives.

Physical Demands

Stand frequently; walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. May lift up to 60 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
