We’re currently looking for a Credit Analyst to join our team and play a critical part in our team operations. This dynamic role is responsible for evaluating the financial health of current and prospective customers to assess creditworthiness. Reporting to the Credit Manager, you will help drive sales growth while minimizing financial risk by enforcing credit policies and supporting the Accounts Receivable team.

- Thoroughly analyze credit reports and trade references to determine the creditworthiness of potential customers with precision
- Champion the consistent implementation of the corporate credit policy across all organizational levels
- Oversee and maintain comprehensive customer credit files, including:
- Executing detailed periodic reviews of existing customer accounts to ensure ongoing viability
- Procuring and updating credit applications to reflect current customer standings
- Establishing and maintaining precise, up-to-date credit limits tailored to risk profiles
- Proactively adjusting credit parameters to bolster the organization’s financial security
- Efficiently manage and respond to incoming account inquiries from stores or customers with professionalism
- Swiftly resolve credit or accounts receivable (AR) discrepancies with customers, ensuring timely and courteous outcomes
- Provide dynamic support to AR operations as needed, including applying cash payments, addressing email correspondence, and managing phone inquiries with accuracy
- Contribute expertise to the management of bad debt files, preparing thorough documentation and facilitating year-end write-off processes with diligence
- Associate’s Degree with 3+ years of credit experience required, Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of credit experience preferred
- In-depth knowledge of credit policies, procedures, and best practices
- Comprehensive understanding of credit reporting systems, including D&B (Dun & Bradstreet), Experian, Cortera, and Trans Union
- Advanced proficiency in computer applications, with a solid command of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers and co-workers
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex issues and implement effective solutions that enhance departmental efficiency
