Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Shadow current Pricing Supervisor or Analyst for job overview and training.
- Build LTL Pricing knowledge base, learn common industry trends, and business sense over the course of 6-12 months.
- Throughout training, conduct both supervised and unsupervised analysis of pricing and costing requests using continual knowledge gained and SMC3 (TCG) costing system.
- Run personal pricing recommendations and spot quotes through Level II pricing analyst (s) and /or Pricing Supervisor for review, constructive feedback, and overall training purposes.
- Work with Field Logistics Specialists on Pricing requests and inquires to provide competitive customer specific pricing for revenue and business growth.
- Review new and existing pricing agreements for accuracy via pricing workflow and/or email with entries placed into contract manager as needed.
- After training is complete will be responsible for pricing on field accounts (territory will be subject to change as needed).
Skills and Qualifications
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Analytical and good with numbers, calculations and percentages.
- Experience with LTL rating and pricing preferred.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills and ability to present to customers. Ability to listen for understanding and interpret customer requests.
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to organize multiple priorities and customer requirements simultaneously.
- Effective skills working as a member of a team and ability to work collaboratively.
- Strong PC proficiency, analytical skills and experience using MS Office products.
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
