The City of Auburn is seeking an entry‑level Plans Examiner/Building Inspector I to inspect building and site improvements for compliance with codes and approved plans. You’ll assist with permit reviews and gain experience toward higher levels of responsibility within the Community Development Department.
Ideal candidates have basic coursework in building technology and some field experience; progress toward ICC Residential/Commercial Inspector certifications is expected within the first year.
