Probation Officers
The Auburn Municipal Court is looking for two Probation Officers to add to the team! Be a part of the rewarding Probation Services Division of Auburn Municipal Court. As a member of the Probation Services team, you will provide tools, resources, and support to justice-involved individuals while promoting public safety and accountability within the community. The Court has a shared vision of providing trust, innovation, and accessibility to court users, and these values extend to Probation Services.
The division uses evidence-based practices and techniques to enforce court orders, promote accountability, and provide meaningful options and resources to clients.

In this job, you will:
- Manage an assigned caseload and conducts intake, classification, risk/needs assessments, reassessments, and case planning consistent with court orders, applicable standards, and departmental procedures.
- Outreach to treatment facilities and other interventions to ensure accurate reporting to the court.
- Administer and monitor alternatives to incarceration and other court-authorized programs as assigned, which may include community service, electronic monitoring, day reporting, therapeutic or behavioral programming, and other sentencing alternatives.
- Administer compliance tools such as drug testing and preliminary breath tests.
- Appear and testify in court as required; presents case information, documentation, professional assessments, and recommendations to judges, attorneys, and other authorized court participants.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, sociology, psychology, behavioral science, law enforcement, or other closely related field,
- Two years of experience in probation, corrections, court services, criminal justice, social services, case management.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Valid Washington state driver's license without pending risk of loss at time of appointment.
- Successfully complete the Correctional Services Academy training within six months of employment as required by WAC .
- Successfully complete Ohio Risk Assessment System End User training within six months of employment.
