JOB SUMMARY

Effectively utilizes treatment technologies and modalities to provide daily patient care and treatment in accordance with policies and procedures at the Mind Care Clinic. Manages patient needs in a therapeutic setting and assist with the developing individualized care and maximizing clinical outcomes.

• Provide appropriate ongoing treatment to children and adult patients consistent with treatment needs.
• Utilize full range of treatment modalities and technologies completely and accurately.
• Function as a member of a team including strong collaboration and communication skills as well as attendance in meetings as requested.
• Demonstrate appropriate therapeutic skills to meet a diversity of client needs.
• Remain in accordance with equipment use, health and safety practices, and programmatic policies and procedures.
• Complete comprehensive and thorough treatment documentation in accordance with requirements.
• Implement quality assurance tools provided to monitor quality of care on a regular basis.
• Report all safety concerns and incidents immediately to supervisor.
• Assist supervisor with program activities, events, and development of Mind Care Clinic program.
• Adheres to all Federal, State, Local, and agency regulations for providing mental health services, including those related to obtaining / maintaining licensure and continuing education requirements.
• Attend mandatory and/or approved training.
• Because of the Tribe’s commitment to community service and the well‑being of its members, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities, and may include driving.

Required:

• Master’s degree in mental health field from an accredited college or university.
• Active Washington State license in one of the following mental health professions:
  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
  • Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
  • Board certified in Neurofeedback
• Minimum of two (2) years’ clinical experience post graduate work in an outpatient setting with children and adults.

Preferred:

• Training and experience in Neurofeedback.
• Training and experience in transcranial electrical stimulation.
• Experience working in a Tribal setting.

Knowledge of:

• HIPAA laws/regulations with regard to protected health information (PHI).
• Code of ethics.
• Confidentiality and privacy principles.
• Federal, State, local and agency regulations for providing mental health services including obtaining/maintenance of licensure and continuing education requirements.

Skilled in:

• Using therapeutic skills to facilitate patient access, utilization, and ongoing engagement in services.
• Identifying and implementing individualized treatment planning for each patient.
• Maintaining proper boundaries, providing support, empathy and encouragement as needed.
• Accurate, timely and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication with patients, supervisor, staff, and other departments.
• Submitting documentation in a timely manner, showing legibility and attention to detail.
• Working cooperatively with team members and other staff.
• Effective time management, ability to prioritize tasks.
• Problem solving and decision making, including resourcefulness, plan development and effectiveness evaluation.
