QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary:

The QA Engineer Automated 3 is an experienced professional responsible for designing and implementing automated testing scripts to ensure software quality. This role requires independent planning and execution of complex testing tasks with creativity and sound judgment. The engineer will prioritize test scenarios, create execution plans, and develop documentation for automated testing processes, particularly within healthcare applications.

• Design automated tests by creating scripts to run testing functions automatically.
• Determine priority for test scenarios and develop execution plans to implement them.
• Create test plans, test cases, and prepare test environments.
• Perform moderately complex functional, application, and regression testing.
• Interpret requirement documents and update test documentation accordingly.
• Collaborate with customers and technical teams during the test cycle.
• Design documentation for automated testing processes.
• Apply knowledge of software development life cycle and methodologies.
• Engage in analysis, planning, and management reporting functions.
• Acquire and apply knowledge of the customer's business area.

• 8+ years of experience in automated test design and scripting.
• Experience prioritizing test scenarios and creating execution plans.
• Proficient in creating test plans, test cases, and preparing test environments.
• Experience performing functional, application, and regression testing.
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and methodologies.
• Ability to interpret requirements and update test documentation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work with both technical and non-technical groups.
• Experience testing healthcare applications.

• Experience with Katalon automation software.
• Familiarity with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and document templates.
• Knowledge of company information architecture and information management methodologies.
• Understanding of existing and planned software technology and architecture components.

• Must be able to work closely with customers as needed during the test cycle.
• Experience testing healthcare-related applications is highly valued.
