About the RoleWe are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join the S&S Materials Management and Transportation team in Auburn, Washington or Puyallup, Washington
. The successful candidate is self‑motivated, driven, and can manage and integrate employees’ activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation, specifically in the delivery customer service role.
- Manages employees analyzing supply chain material requirements, developing and optimizing inventory planning and synchronizing supply chain demands.
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees.
- 5+ years of experience in Supplier Management, Supply chain and/or Procurement practices and processes.
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- 3+ years of experience with data analytics.
- 3+ years of experience demonstrating executive presence with exceptional written and oral communication skills; able to influence senior leaders, present complex technical/organizational matters clearly, and lead high‑stakes discussions.
- At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temporary manager, large‑scale cross‑functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree.
- 5+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- 3+ years leading critical projects.
- 5+ years of experience with Supply Chain, Supplier Management, and/or Procurement practices and processes.
- 5+ years of experience with materials planning or inventory control process role in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with safety and quality processes.
- Aerospace or manufacturing experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a role that involves strategic planning and risk identification.
Summary pay range (Level K) $125,500 – $141,075.
