Project Manager (Bio) – Washington, DC – Initial 12-Month Contract – Life Sciences How would you like the opportunity to support one of the largest biopharmaceutical projects in the country? If yes, then this is the assignment for you!

Our client is currently seeking the skills of a Project Manager (Bio) to support their team. Our client develops and delivers life changing medicines to millions of people globally and as part of their growth. With their Drug Substance (DS) manufacturing network growing rapidly, they are committed to growing their portfolio of commercial biologics products supplied worldwide – and this is your opportunity to be involved!

What

you’ll deliver:
  • Lead assigned work packages or project areas, taking ownership of scope, budget, schedule, risks, and deliverables from supplier selection through to operational readiness.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution, stage-gate compliance, and achievement of quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
  • Manage project risks, scope changes, supplier performance, and technical issues, implementing mitigation plans and escalating concerns where appropriate.
  • Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, qualification, and handover activities, ensuring all documentation, approvals, and compliance requirements are completed and maintained.
Experience required:
  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline, with experience leading work packages and managing project resources.
  • Strong understanding of engineering standards, GMP/GEP requirements, SHE compliance, and project delivery processes within a regulated environment.
  • Experience coordinating site-based activities, including contractor and vendor management, inspections, installation readiness, and execution oversight.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation, supported by excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
