Metal Fabricator

Overview

We are looking for a reliable Welder/Fabricator to work in our hollow metal shop. The position involves fabrication and finishing of commercial steel doors and frames. Duties are primarily grinding and finishing of welded frames and doors.

We are a small, team-oriented shop
, and we’re looking for someone who brings a positive attitude, takes pride in their work, and works well alongside others. Reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to pitch in where needed are essential.

• Read work orders to determine product specifications and materials requirements.
• Review drawings or other instructions to determine task sequences.
• Manually lift, move, and lay out materials to prepare for assembly.
• Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units using MIG welders and hand tools.
• Smooth surfaces or edges, using hand files and portable grinders.
• Physical demands as outlined below.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent
• Required Experience:
  
  Minimum of 2 years’ experience welding light gauge steel with MIG welder.
• All offers of employment will be contingent on satisfactory results of a pre-employment drug screen.

• Safely operate power and hand tools

• Frequently reaches at/below shoulder level or overhead
• Frequently bends/stoops
• Frequently performs moderate vibratory tasks
• Generally moderate noise level, typical to warehouse
• Constant exposure to atmospheric conditions such as paint fumes, dust, etc.
• Frequent proximity to moving mechanical parts

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Must be able to work overtime as required.
