Pay Rate: $63/hr
We are seeking experienced Numerical Control (NC) Programmers to support aerospace structural fabrication operations in Auburn, WA. This role focuses on developing CNC machining programs and setup documentation for complex multi-axis parts.
The NC Programmer will collaborate closely with manufacturing engineering, tooling teams, planners, and machine operators to develop machining strategies, optimize production workflows, and support high-quality aerospace component manufacturing.
Key ResponsibilitiesCreate, verify, and revise Machine Control Data (MCD), tooling geometry, and setup documentation for CNC machines (primarily 5-axis)
Develop NC programs based on engineering drawings, manufacturing plans, and machining requirements
Plan multiple machining setups and operations for complex aerospace parts
Generate setup sheets and operator instructions for safe and consistent machine operation
Use simulation and verification tools such as Vericut to validate programs and prevent collisions or gouging
Troubleshoot and refine programs based on first-article inspection results and shop-floor feedback
Work with cross-functional teams including manufacturing engineering, tooling, and production operators to improve cycle times and manufacturability
Maintain program documentation and revision control
5+ years of NC programming experience in production machining environments
Experience programming 5-axis CNC machines for complex components
Strong ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T
Proficiency with CATIA V5 for NC programming
Experience with NC simulation/verification tools such as Vericut
Ability to create clear setup documentation and operator instructions
Experience designing custom fixtures and tooling for multi-setup machining operations
Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing and inspection processes
Experience optimizing machining strategies and improving cycle times
Additional CAM system experience or post-processor knowledge
