Job Summary

We are seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team! As a Lathe Machinist, you will be working with Okuma Lathes and manufacturing equipment as needed and per blueprint or job order specifications. You will also set up, monitor, repair, and maintain your equipment as needed, assist other machinists with larger tasks, and maintain a safe work environment. The ideal candidate has exceptional attention to detail, previous experience in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to work well with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Read blueprints or job orders and make adjustments to equipment as needed, often with precision tools.
  • Create and write CNC Lathe programs from blueprints.
  • Be responsible for the operation of multiple pieces and types of equipment.
  • Understand and apply optimal work-holding techniques.
  • Check final products for accuracy, and make adjustments to machines as needed to ensure the best final product.
  • Conduct basic maintenance and repairs on equipment in your care.
  • Must be able to set tooling and apply offsets.
  • Must maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Other duties as assigned/required.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a machinist or in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of experience.
  • Have a clear understanding of CNC G & M codes.
  • Ability to program, set up, operate, and run CNC Lathe Machines.
  • The ability to read blueprints or job orders and make minor adjustments as needed to fulfill requirements.
  • Previous experience programming in Mastercam.
  • The ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements.
  • Excellent attention to detail, good verbal communication skills, and ability to use good judgment.
  • Strong analytical skills.
