** POSITION SUMMARY
**** Forming Fabricator Lead
** We are currently seeking a
** Forming Fabricator Lead.
** The Forming Fabricator Lead Supports Manufacturing Manager to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through co-workers. Acts a focal point for interplant communication, assuring a cohesive Sonaca North America approach to meeting its customer quality requirements. In all actions, support Sonaca North America's Quality Policy, Mission Statement and other Sonaca North America policies and procedures by supporting our commitment to total customer satisfaction, quality products and services, lean processes, continuous improvement, on-time delivery, safety, teaming, individual accountability and respect for people.
** Pay Range - $25-$28 per hour DOE*
* ** ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Coordinate and supervise the daily production activities of assigned staff
* Assist Supervisor / Manager with day-to-day operations to meet safety, cost, quality and schedule
* Manages day-to-day direction from supervision including flow of parts and resources.
* Ensure that production goals and objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner
* Monitor production performance, identify areas of improvement, and take corrective action as needed
* Ensure that production processes are carried out in accordance with established safety and quality standards
* Must be able to learn and understand equipment, as well as setup and run the equipment
* Will perform most of the hands–on or OJT training for the team members
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
* Train and mentor production staff in the use of equipment and processes
* Monitor and document employee attendance and performance
* Develop and implement production schedules and workflows
* Enforce company policies and procedures in a consistent and fair manner
* Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock rotation
* Troubleshoot production issues and resolve them in a timely manner
* Motivates team by leading by example
* Models appropriate behavior and reinforces Sonaca North America policies and procedures
* Main focal point for questions for team members
* Create a culture for continuous improvement
* Models appropriate employee behavior and reinforces Company policies and procedures
* By Example, demonstrates appropriate behavior to both new and more senior employees, including such behaviors of dependable attendance, following quality procedures, accurate completion of paperwork, etc
* Actively follows, enforces, and reinforces all safety policies and procedures and incorporates safety issues in all task training.
* Reinforces plant organization and cleanliness.  Works with the team to identify and implement improvements in work center organization. Uses good problem solving skills and assists the work team in the collection of information, analysis of facts and data, consideration of various alternatives, and implementation of the decision.
* Assists the supervisor with the development of the work team.  May serve as team leader or facilitator.
* Initiates and supports continuous improvement by helping the team learn and implement lean manufacturing process improvement tools.
