Position Overview

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a First-Line Tooling Manufacturing Manager (Level K) to support the Auburn Tooling Services (ATS) Team, based in Auburn or Puyallup, Washington, on 2nd shift.

The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal and coaching skills to promote our One BPS culture, tools, and key performance indicators. This role emphasizes ownership, accountability, and a commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage employees across multiple Tooling manufacturing disciplines.
  • Develop and implement business plans, policies, procedures, and strategies.
  • Acquire resources, manage suppliers, and lead process improvements.
  • Support the implementation of OneBPS and Tooling Rate Readiness projects to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Oversee technical approaches, products, and processes; motivate and develop staff.
  • Work Environment:

    This position is 100% onsite in Auburn or Puyallup, Washington.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 3+ years in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment.
    • 3+ years in process improvement initiatives.
    • 1+ years leading teams.
    • Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 3+ years in aerospace tooling or equipment drawing.
    • Experience leading teams to safety, quality, and cost objectives.
    • Experience collaborating across functions.
    • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and/or One Boeing Production System.
    • Project Management experience.

    • Pay range: $115,900 - $140,300.
