As a Tube, Duct, and Reservoir Assembler, you transform precision-engineered components into vital subassemblies for aircraft systems. You will prepare, fit, and align parts to ensure seamless integration of hydraulic, fuel, and oxygen systems.
Responsibilities- Verify kitted parts and assemblies against work orders and BOM.
- Obtain engineering drawings and initiate change requests if needed.
- Set up assembly tools and ensure correct locators for model configurations.
- Hand fit parts using jigs and tools to ensure proper alignment.
- Prepare detail parts by trimming, sanding, and deburring to specifications.
- Deliver completed details to work areas and perform quality checks.
- Select and use appropriate drills, reamers, and countersinking tools for hole preparation.
- Drill and ream holes in parts and assemblies per drawing specifications.
- Apply sealants, primers, and adhesives as specified.
- Handle hazardous materials safely and dispose properly.
- Obtain correct fasteners from roto-bin per specs.
- Report job handicaps such as sequencing errors, material issues, and fabrication problems.
- Measure, cut, and swage tubing to tolerance.
- Conduct in‑process checks for quality compliance and seek team leader assistance when needed.
- Student or recent graduate of a certified Boeing Pre‑Employment Training (BPET) course (academic or military).
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds frequently, walk continuously, stand 6‑8 hours, climb stairs, bend, twist, squat, and kneel as specified.
- Must meet Export Control compliance as a “US Person” (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
- Successful completion of the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
Includes lifting 10‑35 lbs, reaching, turning, twisting, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting. Work may involve contact with metals, solvents, coolants, moving parts, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards. Personal safety gear must be worn.
Pay and BenefitsPay: $24.32/hour with potential to earn up to $53.30/hour per collective bargaining agreement. Benefits include health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, paid and unpaid time away from work, and the opportunity to enroll in various benefit programs. This is an hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinists (IAM‑751) collective bargaining agreement.
ShiftVariety of shifts (Shift4). The position is 100% onsite.
