POSITION SUMMARY

The Planner supports manufacturing and ensures 100% on‑time delivery through proactive management of each work order. In all actions, support the Quality Policy, Mission Statement, and other policies and procedures by supporting our commitment to total customer satisfaction, quality products and services, lean processes, continuous improvement, on‑time delivery, safety, taming, individual accountability, and respect for people.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify status delinquencies (shortages), know where they are within the plant and the projected delivery date.
  • Manage and coordinate short flow, AOG, priority requirements, and non‑moving orders by negotiating due dates when on‑time delivery is in jeopardy.
  • Identify potential problems, analyze, and propose alternatives for resolution for any issues that may jeopardize on‑time delivery.
  • Identify and communicate parts shortages.
  • Generate and follow up timelines for HOT parts upon CSR request.
  • Add priority to work orders and shipping schedules when needed using the plant software tools such as AS400, e‑mail, etc.
  • Become knowledgeable of and follow company procedures.
  • Support other team positions as required.
  • Follow all job tools available and applicable to the job and the plant including SPs, work instructions, modules, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and needed to meet company growth and customer expectations.
  • Work well under pressure and meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.
  • Always demonstrate cooperative and civil behavior with co‑workers, supervisors and customers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES

High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred. Candidates that do not have a high school diploma or high school equivalency will be required to take a pre‑employment assessment to be considered for the role.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud. Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including eye, ear, and foot protection. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10–50 pounds.
