- Set up and operate CNC machines following blueprints and specifications. Assigned machines may include lathes, grinders, multi-axis mills, and similar equipment.
- Choose, align, and securely attach holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and other materials on machines.
- Apply knowledge of mathematics and utilize manual inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to verify product conformance.
- Identify malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining; adjusts controls of machine to correct errors.
- Maintain safe, orderly, cleanly, and organized production area.
- Assist with training of junior employees and program participants.
- Role model proper work ethics and behaviors.
- Previous manufacturing experience running CNC Mills, Haas preferred.
- Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation.
- Experience using basic inspection equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Willingness to support training needs of new employees
Qualifications:
- At least two years of experience as a fully qualified machinist required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; participation in qualified CNC training program highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
