As part of our recent growth, we are seeking a Manufacturing Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with daily work and special projects for Manufacturing areas including the following processes: CNC, Press Brake, Water Jet, Deburr, Sand Blasting, Straightening, Masking, Hot Forming, and Saw. The incumbent will identify, prioritize, and pull materials identified on manufacturing work orders;
set up or assist in setting up machinery to proper dimensions specified on manufacturing work orders; ensure finished material is delivered to other work areas; and ensure work orders are filled out accurately.
• Assist with Set up/Operate CNC equipment as needed.
• Assist with Set up/Operate Press Brake equipment as needed.
• Assist with Set up/Operate Sand Blast equipment as needed.
• Assist with Set up/Operate Masking/Mylar equipment as needed.
• Assist with Set up/Operate Deburr equipment as needed.
• Assist with Set up/Operate Countersink Table as needed.
• Assist with Set up/Operate Saw Machine as needed.
• Assist with Set up/Operate Hot Forming processes as needed.
• Work closely with Machine operators helping with day to day duties.
• Utilize work orders to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances.
• Utilize measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gage and other measuring equipment needed to complete work.
• Use prescribed procedures to inspect part(s) and product(s) produced to assure compliance to specifications that will eliminate defects, scrap, rework, etc.
• Ensure part(s) meet all customer Quality requirements.
• Identify and correct root causes for quality problems.
• Maintain equipment and work area on a daily basis in a clean and orderly condition.
• Detect and report defective equipment, materials and/or faulty operations to plant supervisor.
Skill in read blueprints and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences.
Skill in reading and interpreting documents such as work orders, drawings, internal and customer specifications, manuals, and safety regulations.
Skill in performing mid-level math skills efficiently and accurately (including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fraction and decimals).
Skill in identifying, organizing, estimating, and recognizing differences or similarities.
Ability to take direction from supervisor to complete tasks assigned.
Ability to identify potential issues with machinery, processes or parts.
Ability to communicate information clearly and directly co-workers and supervisory personnel both verbally and in writing.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English through verbal communication, American Sign Language, or adaptive technology
High school diploma or GED.
