Wire Cable Harness Documentation Specialist

Some people enjoy solving puzzles. Others enjoy taking complex technical information and turning it into clear, accurate instructions that help production teams build products the right way.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with wire cable harness experience who is comfortable reading blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and bills of materials and translating that information into detailed manufacturing work instructions.

In this role, you will review technical drawings, customer requirements, and production documentation to create and maintain clear step-by-step work instructions for wire harness manufacturing. You will partner with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure documentation is accurate, easy to follow, and supports consistent, high-quality builds.

This is a great fit for someone who understands wire harness manufacturing, enjoys technical details, and wants to use their hands-on experience in a documentation-focused role.

Job Duties:
  • Create, format, and maintain manufacturing work instructions, process documentation, and production support materials using established company standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, bills of materials, and customer requirements.
  • Translate technical information into clear, step-by-step work instructions for wire cable harness production.
  • Use Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, to create, manage, and distribute production documentation and reports.
  • Support engineering, production, and quality teams by ensuring documentation is accurate, organized, and revision-controlled.
  • Review technical drawings and manufacturing data to identify discrepancies, documentation gaps, or opportunities for process improvement.
  • Maintain documentation databases and support compliance with quality and document control requirements.
  • Track documentation updates, generate reports, and maintain accurate production records.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, wire harness production, engineering support, technical documentation, or related environment.
  • Experience creating, editing, and formatting technical documents, work instructions, blueprints, or manufacturing procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical specifications.
