Our Fabrication team in Auburn & Algona, Washington, is seeking a highly skilled General Machinist to uphold our standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Position Responsibilities- Interpret and work with technical documents such as prints, sketches, diagrams, specifications, and verbal information.
- Perform necessary layouts for assignments and execute precision machining operations.
- Carry out assembly work and surface finishing as required; use precision measuring instruments and tools.
- Select proper tools, fixtures, and machine attachments; prepare and adjust equipment for proper machine operation.
- Monitor machining system operations, including diagnostics and sensor data; make appropriate adjustments.
- Program and operate NC and CNC machines as needed.
- Lifting weights ranging from 10‑15 lbs to 15‑35 lbs.
- Reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.
- Working in environments with metals, solvents, and coolants; proximity to moving parts, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.
- Adapting to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.
- Utilizing personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet during duties.
- 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office applications (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- 2+ years of experience in basic math.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8‑hour shift.
- Proficiency reading blueprints with dimensioning and tolerancing.
- 2+ years of experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
- 2+ years setting up and operating manual and/or CNC machines.
- 1+ year of machining experience using CAD/CAM software.
- 2+ years of CAD/CAM programming experience (e.g., Uni Graphics, CATIA, Master Cam).
- 2+ years operating 3‑, 4‑, or 5‑axis NC/CNC machine tools.
Applicants must meet Export Control requirements; a "US Person" is defined as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (see 22 C.F.R. 120.62).
Work Location & ShiftThis position is 100% onsite at the Auburn or Algona location. Primary shift is second shift, with possible additional shift coverage.
Union RepresentationHourly position governed by the International Association of Machinists (IAM‑751) Collective Bargaining agreement.
Benefits & PayPay: $33.32 per hour, with potential to earn up to $61.01 per hour in accordance with the relevant collective bargaining agreement.
