JOB SUMMARYAs part of our recent growth, we are seeking an experienced Materials Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will receive, verify, and keep records on incoming and outgoing materials in the CMP Cage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure incoming materials to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records.
- Receive customer orders and input into MRP system.
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Route received material to appropriate departments.
- Operate forklift lift or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments.
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
- Skill in advanced computer functions in a Windows environment including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work in an Aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Skill in prioritizing and managing a fast‑paced work environment.
- Skill in organizing, identifying, estimating, and recognizing differences or similarities with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other inspection gauges.
- Skill in performing mid‑level math skills efficiently and accurately (including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals).
- Ability to take direction from lead and supervisor to complete assigned tasks.
- Ability to communicate information clearly and directly to co‑workers and supervisory personnel both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English through verbal communication, American Sign Language, or adaptive technology.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE- High school Diploma/GED
- Constant exposure to indoor manufacturing environment with a moderate noise level.
- Constant reaching, non‑forceful grasping and fine manipulation with both arms and hands.
- Frequent bending and squatting.
- Frequent lifting and moving up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting while using a computer workstation and driving a forklift.
- Frequent standing and walking.
- Occasional exposure to chemicals and fumes.
- Occasional lifting and moving up to 40 lbs.
- Occasional working above the shoulders.
