Position SummaryMulti Care Health System is seeking an experienced Nurse Midwife to join our well-established, thriving and comprehensive Ob/Gyn practice. Responsibilities- Provide prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to women and their newborns.
- Conduct routine gynecological exams
, including Pap smears and breast exams. - Offer family planning services and contraceptive counseling.
- Assist with labor and delivery
, including natural and medically assisted births. - Monitor the health of mother and baby during and after childbirth.
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed.
- Collaborate with OB‑GYNs, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients on reproductive health, childbirth preparation, and newborn care
. - Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
. - Advocate for holistic, patient-centered care and support maternal mental health.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in Washington State.
- Successful completion of an American College of Nurse‑Midwives (ACNM)-accredited nurse‑midwifery program.
- Current active certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board (or its predecessor, the American College of Nurse‑Midwives (ACNM) Certification Council), or be actively seeking initial certification and obtain the same on the first examination for which he or she is eligible.
- Clinical experience in obstetrics, gynecology, or women's health
. - Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision‑making skills.
- DEA, NPI & Prescriptive authority.
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.

However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
