Multi Care Health System is seeking an experienced Nurse Midwife to join our well-established, thriving and comprehensive Ob/Gyn practice. • Provide prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to women and their newborns.
• Conduct routine gynecological exams
  , including Pap smears and breast exams.
• Offer family planning services and contraceptive counseling.
• Assist with labor and delivery
  , including natural and medically assisted births.
• Monitor the health of mother and baby during and after childbirth.
• Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed.
• Collaborate with OB‑GYNs, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients on reproductive health, childbirth preparation, and newborn care
  .
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
  .
• Advocate for holistic, patient-centered care and support maternal mental health.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in Washington State.
• Successful completion of an American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM)-accredited nurse-midwifery program.
• Current active certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board (or its predecessor, the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) Certification Council), or be actively seeking initial certification and obtain the same on the first examination for which they are eligible.
• Clinical experience in obstetrics, gynecology, or women’s health
  .
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.
• DEA, NPI & Prescriptive authority.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.

However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.

If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
