As a Cath Lab RN, you will work with a highly skilled team of medical professionals in a cardiovascular surgical environment, assisting the physician with maintenance and monitoring of EKG equipment and during procedures such as angioplasty, cardiac catheterization, and electrophysiology.

Key tasks include:

• Learn complex technologies effectively
• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization to diagnose or treat heart conditions
• Assist with angioplasties, valvuloplasties, and stent placements
• Help implant pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs)

Cath Lab Travel Nurses must be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty; lift up to 20 pounds routinely, and occasionally up to 50 pounds when moving patients. Must cope well with stress and relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH.
Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment.
