DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a Birth Center position requiring strong L&D skills including baby catching and fetal monitoring.
Details- Birth Center setting with 20 total beds: 12 L&D, 8 PP/AP (3 OB/ED rooms, 2 OR), and a 6-bed Level II NICU
- 12-hour night shifts
- 34.5 hours per week
- No on-call requirements
- Nurse Practitioner available on call
- Epic EMR strongly preferred
- Active WA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- Fetal monitoring certification required
- Strong L&D skills required, including cervical exams, antepartum and labor management, amnio infusions, epidurals, IVs, and Pitocin administration
- Must be able to circulate C-sections and perform baby catching/receiving
- APGAR scoring and breastfeeding knowledge required
- Comfort with postpartum care from transition through discharge for mom and baby strongly preferred
- Some exposure to postpartum care required
- Scrub experience considered a bonus
- Provide direct patient care across labor, delivery, and postpartum stages
- Perform baby catching/receiving duties as a required skill
- Scrub Tech is always on site, though scrub-trained RNs may occasionally cover sick calls
- Teal scrubs are provided
- Multilingual skills in Russian or Spanish preferred due to patient population
- First-time travelers will be considered

The $2,980 weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, corresponds to the higher end of this range. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
