Provides expertise in numerical control, machining, programming and Design For Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) in support of new and ongoing projects.
Establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility. Plans and guides the development and integration of machining techniques, manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment to support the design, manufacture and inspection of parts and assemblies.
Identifies equipment and approaches, coordinates and assigns work and trains/mentors others. Works under minimal direction.
Responsibilities- Provide numerical control, machining and programming technical expertise to support the design and manufacture of parts and assemblies.
- Establish technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility.
- Create, verify and revise Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation that directs the operations of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools and assemblies.
- Plan and guide the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment.
- Provide programs for Mazak Mill, Zimmerman, Mazak Lathe, LSAM, and Hexagon CMM.
- Use Mastercam, PC‑DMIS, and Vericut software.
- Work 3+ years with ENOVIA/CATIA.
- Work 3+ years interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Day‑to‑day activities include BCA, BDS NC Programming of Aluminum and Titanium Additively Fabricated Parts, Polymer Parts for Mazak, Zimmerman, LSAM, and CMM.
