Compensation: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour

Tessera is seeking a CMM Programmer & Quality Inspector III to join their team! As a CMM Programmer & Quality Inspector III you'll perform advanced dimensional and visual inspections to verify that products meet customer, engineering, and regulatory requirements. This role oversees the programming and operation of the CMM machine to exact plans, tolerances and dimensions. Furthermore, the role conducts complex inspections using CMMs and other precision measurement equipment, interprets engineering drawings and GD&T, supports first article inspections and root cause investigations.
The role serves as a technical resource to production while mentoring and supporting fellow quality inspectors.
- Create CMM programs, set up and establish inspection requirements based on design and engineering requirements using 3D models and 2D drawings.
- Set up, test, and operate CMM to ensure inspections are performed as needed.
- Provide most efficient order and flow of inspection procedures within each operation to satisfy dimensional, surface-finish, and time requirements.
- Maintain CMM related equipment and all relevant quality documentation related to the position.
- Analyze dimensional results of prove-outs and effectively correct discrepancies.
- Under limited supervision, must be able to do first time-run-through of own program in an accurate and timely manner to ensure proper documentation and set up information for repeat runs.
- Test and modify existing parts programs for efficiency.
- Demonstrate fundamental understanding of quality systems, development, documentation, and implementation.
- Properly fill in specified data fields for ERP systems to generate information accurately.
- Assist with complex setups and various machining operations as required.
- Support AS9100 audits and ensure compliance with established standards.
- Answer audit questions involving procedures relating to Programming CMM as defined in the Quality Management Systems manual.
- Provide input in team activities that encompass quality and manufacturing producibility.
- Represent a professional, technologically competent point-of-contact (POC) to external customer perception.
- Integrate new technology advances when appropriate.

- Operates CMM to exacting plans and dimensions.
- Ensure work is clean and complete to specifications. Maintain clean and orderly work area.
- Follow process specifications, travelers, drawings, blueprints, rework/rejection tags, work instructions, relevant process controls, and verbal/written instructions.
- Reads drawings or examines existing machine parts to determine fix type and dimensions of material or other equipment required for CMM machined part processes.
