Job Overview

Full‑time role with pay starting at $23.00 hourly. The role strongly prefers bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.

Work closely with commercial paint customers to determine their needs, answer questions about Sherwin‑Williams products, and recommend the right solutions. Resolve customer concerns promptly, maintain maximum client satisfaction, stay current with product features, and uphold the high quality and visual standards of the products and store. Achieve excellent customer service while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals.

Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors, and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value. A review of criminal history is required to protect the safety of the Company’s customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the general public.

Responsibilities
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services
  • Process sales transactions accurately and consistently with policies and procedures
  • Maintain precise work order files and formulas
  • Tint and mix products, as needed, to customer specifications
  • Clean store equipment
  • Assist in making deliveries, as needed
  • Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
  • Suggest ways to improve sales
Qualifications Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Have at least a High School diploma or GED
  • Have at least one (1) year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
  • Have previous work experience selling paint and paint‑related products
  • Have previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
Benefits
  • 0-10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, including 1 floating holiday
  • In the year of hire, 3-13 paid vacation days, prorated based on hire date, including a minimum of 3 frontloaded paid “flex” days which can be used for unplanned absences, such as sick days.
  • Non‑exempt employees who work within the state of Washington accrue paid sick leave at an accrual rate of 1 hour per every 40 hours worked
  • Employees who work within the city of Seattle, Washington accrue paid sick leave at a rate of 1 hour per every 30 hours worked
  • 4 workweeks (on a 12‑month rolling calendar period) of paid Military leave for employees who are absent from work due to service in the uniformed services
  • 5 days of paid Bereavement Leave following the death of an immediate family member and 3 days of paid Bereavement Leave following the death of any other family member
  • After one year of employment, two weeks of Paid Parental Leave following the birth, adoption, or placement of a foster child
