5% King County Premium Pay will be added Responsibilities
- Lead assigned bookstore employees in all retail and/or service bookstore operations such as customer service, sales, ordering, receiving, inventory, cash control, promotions, merchandising, and service functions.
- Maintain control records of receipts and verify daily records of receipts; prepare and input data in computer.
- Order and receive assigned store merchandise.
- Serve as an assistant to the bookstore director as needed.
- Assist customers and employees with questions and provide great customer service.
- Operate registers in cashiering function.
- Verify, consolidate, and balance cash receipts; make and maintain reports and records of cash flow; prepare daily bank deposits as assigned.
- Prepare computer‑inputted documents.
- Safeguard monies within bookstore and conduct monthly safe counts.
- Coach and mentor part‑time student employees to improve customer service, correct cash handling, stocking, cleaning, and straighten sales floor.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year of experience with a computerized Point of Sale inventory system.
- Demonstrated outstanding retail and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated strong computer skills (experience with Microsoft Office products).
- Three (3) years of experience with a computerized Point of Sale inventory system.
- Three (3) years of experience in retail or customer service‑oriented field.
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience.

- Must have the ability to stand for prolonged periods at a computer/workstation.
- Frequent repetitive arm, hand, and finger motions.

- Must maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- May need to carry, lift, or move equipment/supplies up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to push/pull hand truck/dolly loaded with up to 100 lbs.
- Work schedule:
Generally, M‑F 9am‑5:30pm with some schedule flexing required. - Term of Position: 12 months.
